Tim Schaeffer Communities has been involved with the Lindenwold Animal Shelter - a local no kill shelter - for many years. Perhaps our largest project for the Shelter was in 2003, when Hurricane Isobel collapsed the kennel ceiling of their old and outdated building. A committee of volunteers was formed by the employees of Tim Schaeffer Communities, the property was evaluated and Phase I of the "Shelter From the Storm" renovation project was completed with the invaluable help of our employees, vendors and subs. It was truly a labor of love for everyone involved.
Now, with the holiday season upon us once again, our office is in the process of collecting food, bones, litter, toys, beds, blankets, money etc. for our annual donation to the Lindenwold Animal Shelter.
We are a family owned business that just loves animals, as many of our homebuyers, vendors and suppliers do. First time visitors to our corporate office are often surprised to learn that we have the Schaeffer pups - Buttercup and Kyle (at left) and Brutus (shown below, right) - working alongside us every day. Some of our homeowners have even completed their design center appointments with their four-legged family members by their side!
We even have a visitor from a neighboring business - a friendly canine who goes by the name of Barney - who visits and stays in our office, sometimes for hours on end. Here's Barney (at left) looking his handsomest for the camera.
We're hopeful that some of our pet-loving friends, neighbors and members of the surrounding community will want to make Christmas a little brighter for the animals temporarily staying at the shelter until they can find their forever home. We are currently taking donations at our corporate office located at 432 Kelley Drive in West Berlin, New Jersey.

Each year, Main Street Hammonton coordinates the Town Tree Lighting in anticipation of the arrival of Santa who magically lights the town Christmas tree. This event includes local entertainment, carriage rides and carolers throughout the downtown, and this year's event will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 6pm-9pm.
Tim Schaffer Communities will be participating with a holiday storytelling event for children in their Walden Commons Information Center right downtown at 115 Bellevue Avenue. Hot apple cider and cookies will be served.
Please be sure to join us as we kick off the holiday excitement in downtown Hammonton!

At Thanksgiving time - as always - we are thankful for the opportunity to serve those who honor us by choosing Tim Schaeffer Communities to build their new homes.

At the Builders League of South Jersey's annual MAME ("Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence") Awards program on November 16, Tim Schaeffer Communities was honored with one of these prestigious awards.
